Let me kill you I'll use the sharpest little knife and offer up the prettiest little sacrifice Tie the noose up real, real, real tight 'cause that's a noose the way I like Let me kill you I'll use the sharpest little knife and offer up the prettiest little sacrifice Tie the noose up real, real, real, real tight, that noose 'cause I don't like my women loose

Lay down Pass out Don't wake up no matter how bad your dreams They couldn't possibly be worse than the morning The sun may rise but you won't bat an eye Bones been weary so down you'll lie Listen, oh, listen close I've something to say For better or for worse or both This ends today In your bed In your room In your house All alone In the dead of night Beneath the moon Long before the sun shone So what do you have to say now? What's that? Nothing snide? You're silent but you've opened your mouth As though you've nothing to hide Well, we'll see how you feel about that tonight But I'll bet that you'll stay quiet So here we are now Just you and myself No love lost between We've got the books but we've knocked down the shelves if you know what I mean And the score is the same that it's been for odd years We'll settle this game with blood blood and tears Ya da di di da da di You're a dead man
3.
Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Listen here, my boy, and I will tell a tale of men who dig inside the walls and haunt you 'til you hide to no avail Ya da da da da di di High ho Ya da da da da di di It's off to work we go Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig You'll hear them when you're in your room when no one's 'round They raise up quite a din, you see and you can't help but hear their awful sound Ya da da da da di di High ho Ya da da da da di di It's off to work we go Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig These men dig just for you, see, no one else can hear The devil's digging in the walls They're raising Cain and bringing on the fear Ya da da da da di di High ho Ya da da da da di di It's off to work we go Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig Dig, dig, dig, dig And so, you see, you must behave and take your pills or little men will come for you with picks and axes better for the kill Ya da da da da di di High ho Ya da da da da di di It's off to work we go

Won't you look at me? Talk to me Answer, please Won't you let me know? Please don't go Tell me all about my sins Damn the man who says that ignorance is bliss Damn the eyes I have for showing me this The company you keep is a reflection of yourself but what if they're not real? You're imagining things that you want to see because at heart you have a need to suffer more than most I do all of this and more when the spirits leave me with an empty cup I can fill up And I need it bad God, this is sad Shouting madly in the yard What must the neighbors think? It's clear he needs a drink Let's not give him one 'cause watching him's too fun The memories you leave with all your friends and family are difficult at best May as well give up Why bother even try because you clearly want to die? Just the captain and the ship need be swallowed by the sea when the spirits leave me
5.
Picked you out of the crowd No one will hear you It's too loud Take you back to my house Let's play our own game of cat and mouse There's no getting out Quiet now or I'll sew up your mouth You're not exactly the prettiest little thing in town The shepherd was watching the sheep so I took the cow Slipped through the herd and snatched you up This big, bad wolf's been getting in his cups There's no getting out Quiet now or I'll sew up your mouth What caught my eye was the dull look in yours Said, "This one's too dim, dumb to be bored" No one must have cared about you 'cause this was easy As easy as a sin in a pew There's no getting out Quiet now or I'll sew up your mouth
6.
My baby My little child It's been in me for quite awhile Look what it's done to me Look what it's done It's taken my beauty Now I have none The spirit of pregnancy So just take it off and lay your clothes down and take a step back Now how's that sound? They don't suit you Not anymore No, they don't fit right They're not for you You in the nude You in the nude They'll see your true face shining through So take it off and take it all off and show that skin beneath the soiled cloth You in the nude You in the nude
7.
Every bone has its favorite crack And every man dies You, my son, take the simple cack Let’s get you outside The strength of the womb There’s stars all around you, child To guide you to me You should swim up beneath the tide Come out of the sea The strength of the womb

Daddy Longlegs (Live) (free) 03:53
A rose is such a pretty thing Before it's bloomed, before it's spring It's winter in his heart My daddy, sinner's king He's the gardener, I'm the rose A living poem in nature's prose His treasure while I'm young Oh so precious, more than gold But my daddy still loves me My daddy still cares My daddy still loves me My daddy longlegs is always there A cave down south, an open mouth This way in and that way out "It's wrong" they all say, "for the child" But it's my daddy's way His burning love, his burning home When he's in me I'm not alone So keep your heaven above My daddy wants me down below My daddy still loves me My daddy still cares My daddy still loves me My daddy longlegs is always there

about

The Twelve Canons Iowa

The Twelve Canons were a gothic folk band formed sometime in 2001 or 2002 in Iowa City by singer/guitarist Jim DuRocher. After three albums with members Sam Gold and Alex Body, the Twelve Canons stripped back to a two-piece with the addition of composer/bassist Justin Norman. In January 2014, frontman and founder Jim Durocher tragically passed away. He left behind a large collection of demos. ... more
